Minerality and a long finish are the two key characteristics to note when tasting this premium white wine. A true rarity within the Saint-Joseph appellation (less than 10%), the white wines deserve just as much attention as the reds. Stéphane Ogier’s 30-acre plot is equally exclusive, situated in the north of the Saint-Joseph appellation on granitic soils. The hand-harvesting and traditional winemaking methods employed by Stéphane Ogier allow the wine to fully express its terroir. In the northern part of the appellation, this Saint Joseph Le Passage is recognised as one of the finest wines from this Côtes du Rhône cru.
Sensory features: Ogier’s Le Passage Blanc stands out for its aromas of acacia, honey and apricot. A Saint Joseph Blanc with an elegant and distinguished nose, carried by its flavours and richness. In conclusion, Stéphane Ogier’s Passage Blanc is a superb, juicy, refined and persistent white wine, constantly oscillating between fruit and minerality, which is sure to delight your taste buds.
