A precise Pessac-Léognan red wine with a wonderful complexity
Sensory features:This wine is a beautiful ruby red colour. On the nose the wine is precise, opening on intense fruity fragrances (fresh red fruit, redcurrant, blackberry). During aeration delicious notes of licorice and spice appear. Combining beautifully elegance and vivacity, the palate entices with its persistence and its smooth notes of cocoa powder.
Grape varieties: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot & 5% Petit Verdot.
Estate: Château de Fieuzal has been owned by Brenda and Lochlann Quinn since 2001. Originally from Ireland, they carry forward with dynamism and passion the authentic expression of the terroir that gives the wines of this Graves Cru Classé their signature.
Vineyard: Château de Fieuzal 2022 is a Pessac-Léognan wine that stems from an exceptional 64-hectare vineyard devoted to red wine. The vines are on average 30 years old and are planted on a terroir typical of the appellation, consisting of fine soils covered with gravel.
Winemaking & ageing: Ageing in oak barrels, of which 35% were new.
